"Tummy Time and Beyond: How Self-Initiated Movement & Exploration Create Intrinsic Motivation to Learn"

This session will allow participants to experience movement from the perspective of the infant and how to structure environments and schedules to support them in their learning. Respect for the baby's inner agenda will enhance the educators trust in the child to be an explorer, an initiator and a self-learner. The freely moving child naturally creates habits that support learning about the world through effortful experimentation, trial and error, and productive practice, which is to say, they move through the world like little scientists without our telling them to do it!
